I love western North Carolina, and I cannot think of anywhere else in the world I would rather live. It is my home, and it is my heritage. My roots run deep, and my family has been here for many generations.

I am running because I want to bring more jobs to western North Carolina. We need jobs in the private sector and lower taxes on small businesses in order for them to hire more employees. Unemployment is going the wrong way. I recognize the skills and strength of our workforce.
